Becoming a Powerful Christian Single Mom

In my past, I experienced waves of depression. I often excused my sadness as a result of life’s hardships, and while circumstances do affect our emotional health, I lingered in a haze of grief and self-pity. Come to find out the devil wants us stuck in emotional torment to keep us from God. For most of my adult life, I was a single mom, and my default was to question God instead of leaning on Him. I rarely opened my Bible, and I barely took time to pray—maybe a quick prayer on the way to work on a good morning. I was a “so-called” Christian, but that wasn’t going to be enough to navigate the tough world we live in today. Spiritual warfare seemed stronger than ever, and I knew I had to level up intensely if I was going to become a powerful Christian single woman.

My journey was about to get bumpy, stormy, and downright faith-shaking. I had to learn to depend on my faith in God to carry me through chaotic moments—through terrible relationships, family tragedies, losing friends, alcohol abuse, and debilitating physical and mental setbacks. By God’s grace, I conquered many obstacles and continue to do so with strength because I now walk with the armor of God.
