I didn’t take real action to change bad habits until I was 40 years old before that I would try and fail. It took me working on becoming a powerful christian single mom to finally understand that I was ruining my life with bad habits. It was when I became truly guided by the Holy Spirit, I was made aware of my wrong ways. It was like a miracle came into my life and relieved my burden. I also became so much more confident as I trusted myself to make better decisions.

Did you know that most of our habits were formed from childhood? We subconsciously adopt behaviors from our environment, often without realizing it. But is it too late to change? Absolutely not! With the strength of Jesus Christ, all things are possible. I am living proof—currently in the process of transforming my habits, and I want to share what’s working.

Many of our struggles stem from deep-seated generational patterns—often referred to as generational curses. Without intervention, these habits get passed down from one generation to the next. Before I recognized the source of my struggles, my life was in chaos. As a single mom, I faced heartbreak, loss, and loneliness. I turned to drinking, smoking, and unhealthy habits to cope with my pain. I blamed others, feeling betrayed by those around me. It wasn’t until I realized that I had the power, through God, to rewrite my story that things began to change.

  • Break goals into smaller, daily or weekly tasks.

3. Renew Your Mind

  • Replace negative thoughts with empowering scripture.
  • Surround yourself with faith-based encouragement.
  • Be grateful for the power of transformation through Christ.

4. Improve Daily Habits

  • Start small (e.g., wake up earlier, exercise, eat better, practice self-care).
  • Journal daily and meditate on God’s word.
  • Eliminate toxic habits like drinking, smoking, and unhealthy media consumption.

5. Seek Knowledge & Spiritual Growth

  • Read the Bible and deepen your understanding of God’s word.
  • Take courses, read books, and seek mentorship.
  • Step out of your comfort zone—growth requires discomfort.

6. Upgrade Your Environment

  • Remove negative influences (toxic people, social media, bad habits).
  • Surround yourself with a supportive, faith-driven community.
  • Create a space that fosters motivation and positivity.

7. Take Action & Stay Committed

  • Overthinking leads to stagnation—just start!
  • Stay disciplined even when motivation fades.
  • Learn from failures and keep moving forward in faith.

8. Prioritize Health & Wellness

  • Exercise regularly and maintain a balanced diet.
  • Reduce stress through prayer, journaling, and seeking counsel.
  • Treat your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.

9. Build Healthy Relationships

  • Connect with positive, faith-filled individuals.
  • Cut ties with toxic relationships that hinder growth.
  • Give back—helping others brings deep fulfillment.

10. Stay Patient & Trust in God’s Plan

  • Change doesn’t happen overnight—stay consistent.
  • Celebrate small victories along the way.
  • Trust that God’s peace never fails.

The Only True Source of Change

Many books and programs claim to help with self-improvement, but only one book has stood the test of time—the Bible. It provides the wisdom, guidance, and power necessary for lasting transformation. Surrender your struggles to Jesus, and watch as He changes your life from the inside out.
